This session aims to equip participants with new insights on how to engage with and affirm higher education\u2019s core values. In so doing, participants will be presented with a framework for analyzing situations and for proactively fostering constructive dialogue for values-related incidents when they arise on their campuses, which will better equip student advisors with strategies to assist students understand the concept of academic freedom.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><br \/>\nMadeline Everett is a Program Assistant for Scholars at Risk (SAR), where she is responsible for research related to SAR\u2019S network in hosting threatened scholars, participation in advocacy activities, and workshops and events relating to the promotion of academic freedom.
